The HypeWith an ergonomically designed shafts and strong, steady vibrations, the extremely versatile Nexus G-Play range has it all for men and for women, whichever way you want it!
The G-play comes from Nexus and it made of a silky smooth FDA approved silicone sleeve over a vibrating insert. I have reviewed two of their prostate massagers the Glide and Excel and this would be my vibrating Nexus toy. Unlike the male prostate massager the G-play is really a Uni-sex toy although it’s main purpose is an an anal toy it could be used vaginally for g-spot stimulation.
Yes, this essentially a silicone vibrating butt plug combined with a prostate/G-spot massager. The model I am will specifically am talking about is the G-Play Large. The G-play does however come in three sizes. If you new to anal play you may want to check into the small or medium size G-play.
Five vibration settingsAs mentioned earlier the G-pay has a vibrating insert that takes one AAA battery and it has one button. This button is multi function and it used to turn it on/off and to scroll through five different vibration settings. You scroll through the settings by pressing the button again and again. It cyclical once you get to the fifth program pressing it again will cycle to program one. You turn it off by long pressing the button. The operation couldn’t be easier and by spending some time experimenting with programs you will be able to discern the different patterns. It would have been helpful is a short description of the five different vibration settings were included with the packaging.
The G-play performed as expected. The large size give you a feeling of fullness without stretching and soft silicone feel is very luxurious. This would not be a toy for the novice. If have played with the Excel and are comfortable with its size the G-play will be welcome addition. Like any large anal toy you will want to properly lube, relax and prepare before insertion.
The vibrations are not overwhelming and they add just the right amount of additional stimulation. Changing the the programs by pressing the button can be a little challenging with lube on your fingers etc. Because of the electronic parts I was concerned about lube getting into the battery compartment or into the button area. Immediately after play I gave it a cursory wipe down with a baby wipe and later gave it a more thorough cleaning. This brings me to my one minor quibble
The two previous Nexus toys I reviewed came with very detailed instructional inserts with tips for use cleaning and care. The Nexus G-Play did not have any instruction included. There is a brief description on the box to clean with hot soapy water and do not get the battery compartment wet. I found this more detailed description of cleaning process at the website nexusrange.com:
In order to maintain the high quality of your toy and to ensure safe, hygienic operation, we recommend that you clean your toy thoroughly after each use. As the Nexus G-Play is not waterproof, please take care when exposing the toy to water and make sure the battery compartment remains dry at all times. To safely clean the toy simply use a damp cloth soaked in a solution of water and antibacterial soap to wipe the shaft and base. Once clean you can then gently pat dry with a clean towel.

Here is a cleaning tip: I did learn that the vibrating insert can be removed from the silicone sleeve. I don’t know if this was an intentional design but it really helps to keep the toy clean. I am of the opinion this would be a great feature to promote just like the removable steel balls on the Nexus Glide and Excel. I have removed the vibrating insert a number of times now and it has impaired the toy at all. My cleaning regimen now is a quick immediate wipe with baby wipe as mentioned earlier. Then I remove the vibrating insert and the silicone sleeve is thoroughly cleaned by in a basin of warm water and soap. I dry it off and let it air dry.
Overall this is a solid toy that does exactly what what Nexus claims. I would have to had a little documentation with it but a quick visit the Nexus website and you will have plenty of additional information on use and care. I believe the removable insert is a design feature and enables a easier cleaning of the product. The vibrations are a very low hum so if you do plan on using the G-play with a partner you won’t feel like you sitting on a vibrating mac truck. Once a gain a solid reliable product from Nexus. Clearly they are leaders in this space and if you have not tried a Nexus toy what are you waiting for. Go get one.
